Chris “Flict” Aparri, Producer of D-Pryde’s “Lifted” breaks down how he created the record at Atlantic Studios in Hollywood CA.
It was an exciting 2011. From my travels to Las Vegas, Wedding and Engagement pieces, MMA training, and a flash from my past session with some amazing skaters. This is a look back at 2011. I spent almost 10 years involved in the Rollerblading industry, its where I learned how to shoot and produce videos. I am forever grateful to it, which is probably a huge reason why I have never attempted to work in any capacity in the Skateboard industry after. It was so nice getting to hang out with my boy Rachard again who I hadn’t seen in so long. It also allowed me to really become friends with Erick Rodriguez who had started his own production company with Rachard called 9to5 . They also have been my partners on all the new wedding work I have gotten.
4th video from a series of videos we made documenting our Oahu trip. This 4th one was more special to me because I always get sad leaving Hawaii and because it was a late Honeymoon for my wife and I. I ended up leaving Hawaii without the ring I was given on my wedding day, but ironically it also ends with someone close to me getting a ring of her own.
I spent my last year at Franco Shade Clothing in a bit of a daze. It was such a beautiful summer in California, but then again when isn’t it a beautiful summer in California?
Got to work on a project for the One Desk Foundation. They travel to developing countries and work to impact the lives of children, focusing their efforts on the promotion of academic excellence and the development of social responsibility.
This trip was to the country of Belize where they teamed up with Water Missions and worked to install a water treatment facility for a village that has dealt with contaminated and dirty water for years.
