I call this one “Last of the Ho-Hicans”. I first went through this traditional Vietnamese ceremony when I married Joyce, then I shot Jack and Jane here as they took their turn. Now it was time for the final sister Julie to have her special day with her fiance Peter.

A couple days with 13 year old hockey star Vanya Lodnia as he shows some of the training he does on a daily basis to stay on top of his game. It’s always fun getting to go back to KHS Ice in Anaheim and see how Vanya is progressing. His father who was a professional hockey player in Russia has been his coach from when he first carried him on the ice when Vanya was just a few months old. His mother, father, and sister have sacrificed a lot to help Vanya work towards his ultimate dream. I made a video for them a little over a year ago but always wanted to go back and do one a little better. Hope you like it!

We have waited so long for this day to come. When I made their engagement video it was one of the first wedding/engagement projects I had done and I knew when the wedding was here, we would have an epic time. I am so happy for both of them and lucky to have been there with my amazing team from 9to5 Mixtapes. The chapel at Mariners in Newport Coast and reception venue Mon Chéri were beautifully designed by Jane to match their purple and Gold theme (influenced by Jack’s love of the Lakers no doubt).

Casey is a STRONG woman who knew from the beginning what she wanted. She made it real clear I had no choice but to give her a great video…. or else. Mark is super laid back always ready to crack a smile. Their wedding was held in Laguna Beach @ seven-degrees.com/ . I had never been there before but really dug the modern vibe they had designed to host weddings. The wedding party was really fun and outgoing and helped make the video easy to shoot. It was also the third time I got to work with my guys from 9to5. This was the longest amount of time I had spent shooting a wedding but it never felt that way while I was there, before I knew it the day was over and we had spent almost 14 hours there! I now truly consider Mark & Casey friends for life, and I can’t wait till they have lots of babies!

An amazingly beautiful day in San Clemente, CA at The Casino. Tim & Tina finally pulled it off in front of family and friends from all over. I felt so invested in this wedding because of the fact that my wife is very close with both Tim & Tina. We spent a lot of time planning and prepping for the wedding video and they were so great to work with. Tina always had a vision of a “rustic” wedding for her and her groom. She put so much work into the detail of the event, custom making little flags to be waived by guests along with a lot of other things. Congrats Tim & Tina, wish nothing but the best for the both of you.
This was my first time trying to film the “Love Story” concept. I went around with Tim & Tina as they did all of the prep for their wedding. We documented their cake testing, decoration design, wedding licenses at City Hall, rehearsal, and a bunch of other stuff and connected it to their actual Same Day Ceremony footage. It was great to see everyones reaction in their ballroom when it was played and most importantly the joy of the bride and groom.
Had such a good time shooting this beautiful engagement ceremony in La Mirada. Congratulations to the beautiful couple. This is a look into a traditional Vietnamese style Engagement called Dam Hoi. Both sides of the family meet and the bride to be is introduced to everyone wearing a traditional dress known as the Ao Dai (don’t kill me if i spelled it wrong!). Thanks so much for having us shoot this guys it was a day we will never forget!
